The Greatest Honda Created
Honda NSX
It features a mid-engine layout, lightweight construction, and advanced aerodynamics, making it both fast and agile. Its innovative design and engineering set new standards earning it legendary status among enthusiasts.
The History
Performace
The first-generation NSX featured a mid-engine layout and lightweight aluminum construction, delivering incredible balance and handling. Early models had a 3.0 L V6 with VTEC, while later updates increased displacement to 3.2 L, offering smooth, precise acceleration for both daily driving and track performance.
Technology
The NSX was groundbreaking for its time, becoming the first production car with an all-aluminum semi-monocoque body. It also introduced advanced aerodynamics inspired by fighter jets, variable electric power-assisted steering, and innovative transmissions, including a 5-speed manual and SportShift 4-speed automatic.
Legacy
Designed under Chief Designer Masahito Nakano and Chief Engineer Shigeru Uehara, with input from Formula One champion Ayrton Senna, the NSX set a new standard for reliability, performance, and engineering in supercars. Its rarity and influence have made it a lasting icon in automotive history.
The NSX began as the 1984 HP-X concept, a 3.0 L V6 mid-engine sports car developed with Pininfarina. Honda’s goal was to create a high-performance, reliable supercar at a more accessible price, eventually leading to the production NSX.
